LaurenPapaGreen Hits YouTube!

It is official I am a vlogger! Oh so fancy! Yes, I uploaded my first vlog on my new YouTube channel last night!

Since I started this blog I always thought it would be cool to start a vlogging channel to go alongside it. After filming my first vlog a couple of days ago, I have gone on a vlogging hype and keep coming up with new ideas for new videos.

I have a lot of exciting things coming up soon which will give me great opportunities to film and share with the internet!

Without further ado I present to you my very first vlog...

*excited dance*

I really enjoyed vlogging my day and am so excited to be vlogging my 18th birthday starting tomorrow! Make sure you look out for that video in a few days time because I'm sure it's going to be messy!

I would love for you to comment on my video and subscribe to my channel! Thanks guys!!

My Weekly Favourites

I said in my last weekly favourites post that I wanted to do one each week, so here we go for the second week...

Clothing
Platform Heels
My mum recently got these heels which means I've recently stolen them. I am in love! My mum ordered them online and they were only £5! £5! They are incredibly heavy to walk in, but soooo comfy to wear! I really want to wear them for my birthday, but I don't want to end up in hospital! If I do wear them we'll just have to see how long they actually stay on my feet!!

Website
Where did you get those heels I hear you shout, well right here. Yes as the URL suggests, everything is only £5 (exchange rate applies)! The site has some really nice clothes and shoes and shipping is worldwide!

YouTube Channel
I mentioned Ricky in my last weekly favourites alongside his girlfriend Sammi, but I just recently subscribed to his YouTube channel and I love it! He is just such a cool guy and has such a cool vibe about him! I love how honest he his and he is seriously just so funny! His videos are so awesome and I really like how he appreciates all the people who watch his videos. I want to be his friend to be honest! Go check him out!!

TV
My Mad Fat Diary
I am obsessed with this show! I was quite late into watching it (that's what you get for living in Cyprus), but I soon caught up and I love it! It's such a mixture between comedy and drama and you can so easily relate to it. It tackles some serious issues and I can tell that people would have really learnt something by watching it. I've loved Nico Mirallegro (Finn) since he was in Hollyoaks, so to see his face pop on my screen again was very exciting (and may or may not have involved screaming when realising it was him...). It's such a good show and I'm so sad it's the last episode next week. People should definitely go watch it if they haven't already. Plus the soundtrack is amazing!

Song
Ed Sheeran - Give Me Love
Being in Cyprus has it's disadvantages again as I've only just come across this song! I've loved Ed Sheeran for a while now (common who doesn't love him!?) and this song is so beautiful! I love the video too and it's such a good song to just relax and chill out to.

Movie
Magic Mike
If you read my last post you'll know my best friend recently got me the Magic Mike DVD. I missed it when it come out in cinemas, but I watched it yesterday and well just wow! How and why has it taken me so long to see this film!? If you're looking for a film with an amazing plot line and a thought provoking script this might not be the film for you, but if you're looking for a film with dancing, stripping and Channing Tatum naked, then this is the one for you! Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer and Channing Tatum basically naked and grinding, what more do you need? Also the soundtrack is surprisingly really good.

Week two of weekly favourites done! Like always let me know your thoughts and favourites and check out everything I've mentioned! :)

My Favourite Songs

Who can really just answer with one song when asked what their favourite song is? I for one definitely can't! Music plays a big part in my life so I thought I'd make a list of some of my all time favourite songs (and there are many!) These definitely aren't all of them, but the ones I could actually think of! You'll realise that my taste in music spreads through a lot of genres and these aren't in any particular order. Enjoy...

My Weekly Favourites

I really enjoyed writing my "Top 10 Beauty Products" post last time, so thought I'd write another, but including other things too. I want to make this a weekly thing, but we'll see how that goes shall we.

TV
Glee Season 4
Everyone who knows me knows they should never mention Glee in front of me because I will either scream about it for hours or fall to the floor in tears. I've loved Glee from the very first season and have been through it all with the show. I'm not going to go into how much I love the show because no one needs to witness that!  I am really enjoying season 4 at the moment and think that the show has really come into it's own again. After a rocky third season, Glee has become Glee again and I love it even more. Also Blaine Anderson, that is it.
KLAINE FOREVER <3

Song
M83 - Midnight City
I am in love with this song! It was released back in 2011 and was one of those songs that you always hear bits of in like TV adverts or something, but no one really knew it. I came across it when reading fan fiction on Tumblr (yes I'm one of those people) and have loved it ever since. Every time it comes on I have a little rave party with myself. It's also my ringtone! Yep obsessed!

YouTube Channel
Tanya Burr
I've said before that I love watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and I am loving Tanya Burr's right now. The makeup looks she creates are amazing and I would love to be able to do them too. I would love more than anything to take part in a "makeover" type thing she does with DailyMixTV, but because now I live here I can't :( Tanya is such a lovely person and is so funny during her videos and she is really inspiring too! She is soooooo beautiful and I love watching her main channel videos and her vlogs too.Check her out!!

Vlog Channel
TheSammiMariaShow
I have fallen head over heels with Sammi and Ricky! I've watched Sammi on her main channel BeautyCrush for a while now and came across her vlog channel a couple of days ago and love it! I went back and watched all their Christmas vlogs all in one night and found it so interesting watching their lives (wow that came out stalkerish, I'm not stalking I promise!). I love their recent vlogs from San Francisco too! Check them out!!

Blog
I only recently came across Hannah's blog, but I am in love! Hannah is one of those bloggers you feel like you can have a chat with and her blog posts are hysterical! She writes about being a woman, love, sex and everything in between and is fabulous! A personal favourite blog post is one she wrote recently titled "Let's Talk About Sex" as you can you imagine it was full of sexual banter. I love her!!

Product
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturiser
I didn't put this product in my last blog post, but it still a real favourite of mine. Living in a hot country means having my legs out a lot and I love using this moisturiser to make sure mine are in tip top condition. It works great on helping with any stretch marks or scars on your skin too!

Clothing
TopShop Hoodie
Every man and their dog owns a hoodie like this, but I only got one recently at Christmas in this colour and it has become my new best friend. It is so soft!! It is a really warm hoodie and is perfect for winter, but it is also light enough to wear as it gets warmer. I got mine in a slighter larger size than my normal sizing so that I could wear it over sized. It's just so snuggley!

Overall
Pinterest
I am so late into the game with Pinterest, but I have become obsessed! I've been on Tumblr for a good few years now and so Pinterest was just perfect for me. I've been inspired by so many things that I've seen on Pinterest, be it fashion, makeup, hair, decor, it's just amazing! I've also somehow planned the wedding that I'm no where near having with help from Pinterest. Links to my Pinterest boards are at the top of my blog!

There we go then! Like I said I want to try and make this a weekly segment, but knowing me this won't happen! Let me know your thoughts and check out everything I've mentioned!! :)

My Top 10 Beauty Products

So today I thought I'd do something different to what I usually do on my blog, but it's something I really want to do again.

LaurenPapaGreen - Top 10 Beauty Products
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

The majority of the blogs I read and the vlogs I watch are beauty and fashion related and I really enjoy hearing and reading about other peoples views and choices. I really love watching other people applying their makeup too and I spend far too long watching makeup tutorials on YouTube! So today I thought I'd give it a go myself! This originally started as my top 5 favourites, but quickly became my top 10 (I just love beauty products okay!)

1)

The Body Shop - Moroccan Rose Perfume
€15 reduced to €7
I really like the floral scent of this perfume and the smell lasts long throughout the day. If I could criticize it slightly, I'd say sometimes the scent can be slightly heavy. I  know there is a body milk version and I would definitely check it out.

2)
L'oreal - Vitamino Colour Conditioner
£10
I actually was given this leave in conditioner as a gift from L'oreal after I did a runway show for them last year. For the show they dyed my hair a lighter blonde and this conditioner really helped with keeping the colour in. It also smells amazing and with the shampoo version too it is just great

3)

Beauty Formulas - Cool Moist Cucumber Refreshing 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner
€3
I have terrible skin and am always looking for good skin products and I've recently found that this cleanser and toner duo works really well for my skin and it has really helped. I also use it with the 3 minute clay mask and for only €3 it is a steal!

4)

Maybelline - The Eraser Foundation
Boots £10
I love this foundation! I love the texture and coverage it gives and it is one of the best foundations I've used. I use it in the shade 010 Ivory, but it is slightly too light for my skin tone now as I've tanned since living in Cyprus, however I simply just apply powder and bronzing powder on top.

5)
W7 - The Big Five Eyeshadow Pallet
€2
I got this pallet for Christmas and I love the colours. Each shade is glitter eyeshadow and is amazingly pigmented. My favourite shade is the middle one and it is a lovely light gold colour. Along with black liquid liner, it really makes my eyes stand out.

6)
L'oreal - 601 French Riviera Nail Polish
€4
I'd been looking for a colour like this for a while so was so excited when I came across this one a few weeks back. I think it's a great colour for the summer and looks really cute and fresh on your nails. One thing that can be slightly annoying is that it takes a good 3 coats to really show up, but it does give off a really nice colour.

7)
The Body Shop - Skin Primer Matte It
€8
I'd never used a primer before I found this primer from The Body Shop just after Christmas and I'm really glad I found it! As I have terrible skin I wear a lot of foundation to cover it all up (yes I know that will just make it worse shh) and I found since using this primer my foundation has stayed on much better and for longer.

8)
Revlon - ColorStay 300 Succulent Berry
€2
I've never really been a lipstick person, but only recently have I started trying out lipsticks and I really love this one. This image doesn't really give the colour justice as it is a really lovely colour and even nicer on your lips. The lipstick itself goes on sooooo smoothly and is really long lasting. Love it!

9)
Rimmel London - Glam Eyes Liner
£5
I constantly wear liquid liner and I love this one recently and actually stole this one off my mum (shhh!). The liner is really long lasting, however I prefer a harder wand tip as I find it easier to apply with so I use a wand from a different liner I have. Overall I like this product a lot though.

10)
2True - Twist n Line Eye Definer No. 5 Black
£1.99
This is by far my favourite product of all time! I use this eyeliner every day and have done for a good few years now. I just love the colour and how it goes onto the eye and the long lasting effect. I believe you can only get it in Superdrug (correct me if I'm wrong), but I know for sure that you can't get it over here in Cyprus and was soooo upset when I lost one at a party! I now only have one and it's running low, but I love my best friend in England for sending me one over!! Amazing product!

There we go, there are my top 10 favourite beauty products! I'd love it for you to share some of your favourite beauty products in the comments below and also tell me if you use any of these products too! Also let me know if you like this style of blog post and if you'd want me to do more like this :)

All By Myself...

Recently I have been by myself a lot. Like A LOT.

Just after Christmas I dropped out of school for a number of reasons (one being that my Psychology teacher that looked like Super Mario wouldn't speak English in his lessons, yep great thanks for that mate) and so I have been stuck at home for the past month. My decision to leave school is a whole different story and a story that shall be told in a different blog post...

Now you may think that being off school is brilliant, no early mornings, no homework, but it also means no friends. Yes I still have the great friends that I made only a few months back, but now that I don't go to school it means I never get to see them anymore. If I'm lucky I get to see them quickly once a week when I sneak into school (Cypriot schools are very relaxed when it comes to people walking into their schools it seems). You may think "what about the weekends Lauren? Or after school?". You wouldn't be thinking that if you had to do the 30 minute drive on dodgy village roads into town with Cypriot boy racers giving no regard to others on the road zooming round you. Also the fact that I can't legal drive doesn't help and there's only a certain number of times "DAAAAAAAAAAAAADDY CAN YOU DRIVE ME TO TOWN!?" is allowed to be uttered in my house.

So yes I am stuck once again, just as I was when I first moved here and I hate it even more the second time round. That was a very low point for me and now it's even worse as not only can I not meet up with my friends, I see them having all this fun together whilst I'm sat alone in my bedroom, picking at my nails and crying over Glee.  I am so easily forgotten, always have been, always will be. You just need to ask my "friends" back in England, "Lauren? Who's Lauren? Never heard of her. You heard of her? Na not a clue, doesn't ring a bell". Being a person who is so easily forgotten is not great and if I'm being totally honest, I can feel myself being forgotten already and that is one thing I really don't want to happen. Before anyone gets offended or arsey with me, I am in no way blaming anything on them, I love those guys (hi Chris) and they've unknowingly got me through a whole lot since I met them and that's why it's so hard not seeing them.

It's not all doom and gloom though. It's my 18th birthday on February 23rd and I plan on partying with my playaaaaaaaaaaaaas like you wouldn't believe. I also plan on vlogging the whole day and night, so prepare yourself for some very drunken Cypriot madness in a blog post in a few weeks.

Yet again with the "serious" post! I don't like writing posts like these, but this is a blog about my life and at late it hasn't been all fun and games so you get what you get. I do however have lots to look forward to, my 18th in a couple of weeks, a massive birthday/christmas/valentines package sent from my BFF in England arriving and then said BFF showing up here this summer to hit Aiya Napa - JAUREN ON TOUR 2013!

To end I shall leave you with my anthem right now...
